A DIFFERENT SIDE OF SEOUL
This is an urban retreat experience rather than an isolated countryside retreat. Our days will be spent exploring Seoul, practising yoga and discovering Korean culture and wellness, while the villa provides our private space to come home to, slow down and enjoy time together.
Buam-dong offers a quieter side of the capital, known for its mountain scenery, leafy streets, independent cafés, galleries, bakeries and small local shops. It allows us to experience a more local atmosphere while remaining close to Seoul’s historic centre and major neighborhoods.
The location allows us to experience two different sides of Seoul: its vibrant city life and its quieter hillside scenery. From the villa, we can enjoy views towards the surrounding mountains while remaining conveniently connected to Seoul’s cultural districts, cafés, shopping areas and major attractions.
Public transportation is within a short walk of the villa, making it easy to reach central Seoul and many of the areas we will explore during the retreat. Cafés and restaurants are also available within walking distance, with convenience stores and supermarkets nearby.
This is not a countryside or remote mountain retreat — and that is precisely what makes the location special. We can enjoy mountain views, greenery and a more peaceful neighborhood atmosphere while still having the culture, food, shopping, wellness and energy of Seoul within easy reach.
For six days, this becomes our Seoul home — a place for morning yoga, shared breakfasts, quiet moments, sauna and hot tub sessions, evenings together and rest between our adventures around the city.
YOUR RETREAT HOME IN SEOUL
Set in Buam-dong, between the mountains of Inwangsan and Bukhansan, our private three-level villa offers a refreshing balance between Seoul city life and the quieter, greener atmosphere of one of its hillside neighborhoods.
Surrounded by trees and mountain views, the villa gives our group a spacious and private home to return to after each day of exploring Seoul — while remaining remarkably close to the historic and cultural heart of the city.
The villa features 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, spacious shared living areas, terraces, gardens and outdoor spaces where our small retreat group can gather, relax and enjoy slower moments together.
WELLNESS & RELAXATION AT THE VILLA
Our retreat takes place in a spacious private villa in Seoul, offering the perfect balance between experiencing the city and having a comfortable private space to return to at the end of each day.
Set across three levels, the villa offers generous indoor and outdoor communal areas for our small group, together with 4 bedrooms, 1 lounge room and 3 bathrooms. Although we are staying within the city, the surrounding hills and greenery create beautiful open views from several areas of the property.
The villa also features a private landscaped garden, several terraces and outdoor lounge areas, a hidden fire-pit area and a covered BBQ and dining space suitable for Seoul’s cooler November weather. Weather permitting, one of our retreat evenings will include a Garden Fire Ceremony.
One of the highlights of our retreat home is its private wellness area, featuring a family-size outdoor hydromassage hot tub and an authentic Finnish sauna. After a full day discovering Seoul, guests can return to the villa for a sauna, a warm soak and time to relax together.
The villa is an important part of the retreat experience itself. Throughout the stay, guests can enjoy a private Finnish sauna, family-size hydromassage hot tub, garden and outdoor relaxation areas — ideal for unwinding after our days around Seoul.
On suitable evenings, weather permitting, we can gather around the garden fire pit for our Fire Ceremony. A covered outdoor BBQ and dining area also creates a cosy space for spending time together during Seoul’s cooler November evenings.
COMPLIMENTARY AIRPORT ARRIVAL TRANSFER
A complimentary group airport transfer is included on arrival only, from Incheon International Airport (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2) directly to the Retreat Villa.
The group transfer will depart from Incheon Airport at approximately 2:00 PM on 15 November 2026. Guests are advised to select a flight arriving with sufficient time to complete immigration, collect their luggage and reach the designated meeting point.
Detailed arrival instructions, including the exact meeting point, driver information and contact details, will be provided to all participants before arrival.
Guests arriving outside the designated group transfer time will need to arrange their own transportation to the Retreat Villa at their own expense.
Departure transfer is not included in the retreat price. However, you will not be left to navigate your way back to the airport alone. We will help each guest plan the most convenient return option according to their flight time and provide clear directions and assistance with arranging a taxi, airport limousine bus or other suitable transportation to Incheon Airport.
FOOD EXPERIENCE
Daily breakfast is included during the retreat.
Breakfast will include a simple selection of fresh and nourishing foods, together with tea and water.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Weather & Season
November is late autumn in Seoul, a beautiful time of year when autumn colors and fallen leaves can still be seen throughout the city and surrounding hills. Temperatures can vary considerably between daytime and evening, so guests should come prepared for cool autumn weather and colder mornings and nights.
We recommend bringing layers, a warm jacket, comfortable trousers, sweaters and a scarf, as well as clothing that can easily be added or removed throughout the day.
Yoga Clothing
Please bring comfortable yoga and activewear suitable for both indoor and outdoor practice. Some yoga or mindfulness sessions may take place outdoors when weather conditions allow.
For outdoor practice, we recommend warm layers over your yoga clothes, including a sweatshirt or fleece, warm socks and a light jacket. Outdoor sessions will always depend on weather conditions.
Comfortable Walking Shoes
Seoul is best experienced on foot, and our retreat includes plenty of walking while exploring neighborhoods, cultural sites, parks and other areas of the city.
Please bring comfortable walking shoes or trainers suitable for full days of urban exploration.
Sauna, Hot Tub & Jjimjilbang
Please bring a swimsuit for use at the villa's hydromassage hot tub and any other situations where swimwear is appropriate.
Our retreat also includes a traditional Korean Charcoal-Kiln Jjimjilbang experience. More information about Korean spa etiquette and what to bring will be provided before the experience.
Electricity & Plug Adapter
South Korea uses 220V electricity and primarily Type C and Type F electrical sockets, the same two-round-pin style commonly used in many European countries.
Guests travelling from countries using different plugs should bring a suitable travel adapter. Please also check that personal electrical devices are compatible with 220V.
Mobile Data & Connectivity
Complimentary Korea mobile data is included during the retreat. Information regarding SIM/eSIM setup and compatibility will be provided before arrival.
Getting Around Seoul
The retreat includes a pre-loaded T-money transportation card and scheduled local transportation during the official retreat itinerary.
Seoul has an extensive public transportation network, and throughout the retreat we may use a combination of subway, buses, taxis and walking, depending on the day's activities.
